Marin Peer Resource Community Collective (MPRCC) provides peer-led, non-clinical support grounded in lived experience, dignity, and community connection. Our programs respond to immediate needs while supporting long-term stability and belonging.
MPRCC offers peer support rooted in shared lived experience and mutual respect. Our outreach is relationship-based and community-centered, meeting people where they are and supporting navigation of resources, services, and advocacy without judgment or clinical barriers. When participants are overwhelmed by the volume of information and decisions during high-stress moments, MPRCC serves as a steady presence—listening, helping make sense of options, and supporting informed choice. We also provide conflict resolution and advocacy between participants and service providers, encouraging collaboration, clarity, and mutual understanding so services are accessible, coordinated, and more likely to be accepted and effective.
Who this serves: Individuals experiencing housing instability, isolation, or difficulty accessing and navigating traditional systems of care.Through community meals and outreach partnerships, MPRCC supports access to food, basic supplies, hygiene resources, and peer connection. These spaces also support trust-building and practical information sharing.
MPRCC grew out of peer-led efforts connected to Camp Compassion and years of grassroots advocacy in Marin County. While Camp Compassion itself is no longer active, its legacy continues through lived-experience leadership, peer support, and community-based care.
We envision a Marin County where people experiencing homelessness and housing instability are met with dignity, practical support, and real pathways forward — led by lived experience and strengthened by community.
MPRCC is building a peer-led model that includes wellness-centered supports, workforce development, and long-term housing solutions, while continuing to show up for our outdoor neighbors and their immediate needs in the moment.
Our vision is collaborative and grounded in community. We believe lasting change happens when people are supported to stabilize, reconnect, and grow — not managed or dismissed.
MPRCC is sustained through community involvement — including volunteers, partnerships, and community-based giving. This support helps keep our work flexible, responsive, and grounded in real needs.
Certain activities and funds are administered through a trusted fiscal sponsor to ensure financial oversight, transparency, and accountability.
